Forgive me if I'm wrong, but is this post less a "women I find aethestically pleasing" and more a "women who have played charactors I find attractive in things that I like"? I mean, Star Trek, LOTR, X-men (although she actually *is* very pretty), Buffy, Dr Who, Babylon 5, The Phantom Menace...

I have no idea who Ana Cristina De Oliveira is, and the link hasn't helped, so I can't tease you about that :-)

Now, y'see, I'd not bothered to but the wibbly bit about how vaguely meaningless the question was in the original post, but there you are.

Note that the question wasn't women I find aethestically pleasing, but celebrities that you find attractive. There is an inherrent problem with this question in that the number of celebrities that I know socially is approximately zero (and the number that I have as friends is strictly zero). If the question had been women I find aethestically pleasing then I'd've produced a somewhat different list (although a couple of names from that list would have been on it), and I probably wouldn't have published it due to potential for embarrassment all around…

As to the other thrust of your questioning, whilst that may well be a part of it, I wouldn't ascribe the totality to it.

(Oh, and I've never seen MT on Buffy (having watched less than one entire episode, and that in 1998 or so), and I hadn't noticed that KK was the spare Queen Amidala in Phantom Menace until you told me :)).

Yeah, but I can't help feeling we're taking this a bit seriously. We all know what we *meant* to ask was "Which celebrities, when seeing, would you go 'squee'[1]".

If you what to get pedantic you can be attracted to someone physically, or mentally, or because they play hot starwars babes... :)
