Gorbag and Xurukk had struggled for weeks across the lands of the Light Alliance. It was harder than they expected, and their infrequent encounters tended to be short and painful. Even their visit to the delta of the naiads had ended with their, exhausted, flight.
Finally they reached the Villa of the Overking of the North-West. By means of great cunning (and their innate night-vision) they made their way to the Great Hall and stood in front of the Alliance's Sacred Tome.
Suddenly they were blinded as the Great God LU appeared, proclaimed:
On seeing the title I had a nasty feeling this was going to have something to do with the nastiest and most vindictive of the Middle-Earth races going three rounds against a Microsoft office product. I think I'm relieved. For one thing, I'm not sure which I'd have put my money on.
I was thinking that Clippy was probably being used by Pippin to hold his brooch to his elven-cloak; so when he strategically discarded the brooch and Aragorn and co. showed up and found it a day or so later, it would have popped up and said something along the lines of "Hi! It looks as if you're trying to find some kidnapped hobbits. Would you like some help?".
