2005/03/04 12:00:00 - Sheep?
Prompted by an off the cuff comment from sil here (in approximate order) are the 25 most worn keys on my keyboard…
  1. A

  2. L

  3. N

  4. S

  5. D

  6. Left Ctrl

  7. Left Shift

  8. C

  9. E

  10. X

  11. \

  12. K

  13. O

  14. I

  15. P

  16. ;

  17. ,

  18. .

  19. Page Down

  20. End

  21. Left Alt

  22. Down Arrow

  23. Left Arrow

  24. Right Arrow

  25. Up Arrow

I'm not sure what, if anything, you can deduce from that :).

Surely the fact that 't' isn't in the list is anomalous?

Maybe letters you type with your index finger don't get bashed as much because you have better motor control. Or maybe they make special hard wearing T's

Given the much higher quantities of left-hand letters, there might be something in that.

I once had a second-hand keyboard where the left Ctrl was far more worn than anything else. No prizes for guessing why...

No :, H or J. Heavy use of Ctrl, Alt and X. You're an emacs user.
