Is this "who should win?", "who would you vote for?" or "who will win?"? (To which my answers are, in order: Kerry, Nader and Bush)

My understanding of the conventional approach is to vote for who you think should win. (-: Would you have some clever strategic or point-making reason, in this instance, in voting for Nader instead?

Would you have some clever strategic or point-making reason, in this instance, in voting for Nader instead?

Because Kerry is far too right-wing from what I've seen. Still to the left of Bush, but so is practically everyone. Given that it's a two-horse race, Kerry is the only sensible contender (hence "should win") but that doesn't make him a good candidate, only the lesser of two evils...

Tobacco, Anonymous, but only rarely.

Perhaps taking a look at the candidates stances would be useful? Maybe reviewing the meaning of left-right in politics?

Nader is fairly left-wing but is more liberal (in the true sense of the word, not as an insult used by far-right groups against not-quite-so-far-right groups) - centre-left is probably accurate - which is, in my opinion, quite a reasonable place for a politician to be.

As far as I can tell, the US hasn't had anyone left-wing in the White House in (considerably longer than) my lifetime. After the McCarthy Witch-hunts nobody in government would even dare admit to (gasp!) communist sympathies.

Poll for? Who should win or who would you most like to see shot?

Bush will win, Kerry should win, Nader should be shot.
