2004/08/25 11:15:00 - verse(1L)
In a fit of enthusiasm I created an RSS feed:
http://www.pick.ucam.org/~jdamery/auto/verse.rss
which has the verse(1L) bible verse for the day.
This is syndicated at bibleverse.

NB: today's entry appears twice, due to debugging.

When I went to the LJ syndication and clicked on Bible verse of the day I got the following error.

The requested URL //home/jdameryjdamery/auto/verse.html was not found on this server.

When I clicked on http://www.pick.ucam.org/~jdamery/auto/verse.rss I got the following text
Bible verse of the day http://www.pick.ucam.org//home/jdameryjdamery/auto/verse.html Feed of the verse(1L) verse of the day
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night. The heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up." II Peter 3:10

But when I change .rss to .html I got something more sensible.
Not knowing anything about rss, that could be what it's supposed to look like.

Yes, you're quite right, I've messed up that URL...

Should fix itself with tomorrows verse! :)

(and yes, rss isn't really intended to be human-readable-form...)

Where does it come from? Is it any random verse, or is it from a list of particularly interesting ones?

I have no idea how the verses were picked, the documentation doesn't say!
