How do you get everyone in a community (or a large percentage thereof) to implement a GoodIdea that makes life easier for everyone?

In this case; most importantly the people you don't already know.

Rob a bank without disguising your identity. You will then be rich and famous, albeit probably only transiently so.

Give sweeties to people you know who accept the nifty idea, and use sticks on the ones who don't.
Then, equip the people you know who accept the nifty idea with their own sticks and bags of sweeties in order to propagate the nifty idea to people outside the intersection of your acquaintance sets.

Presumably do something like this and ask everyone that you *do* know to pass it on, and then ask their friends to pass it on, and their friends, and so on.
And attach it to a chain letter promising love, wealth and happiness if they forward it, and doom&gloom if they don't ;)

Or get it to someone who is famous and ask them to post about it?

Using social effects - so that if a couple of people in their friendship group do it, then the rest of the people in the group feel bound to do it.

In this case, you need to turn it into a meme by creating a 'subscribe-me' generator, where you type in your livejournal, and out pops a subscribe-me-bit-of-html, which you use to show that you care.

In this particular case, you could start by explaining (a) what the hell the idea is and (b) why it might be useful. I followed the links when I read your original post but I couldn't find anything that actually said what it *was*, so I ignored it :-)
